43 Years of Transforming Communities Through Service
Established in 1983, the Albany (GA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated has consistently prioritized excellence in programming and friendship. With a current membership of 29, the Chapter has, over 43 years, contributed significant volunteer hours and expertise to community service that is aligned with the five core facets of The Links, Incorporated: Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Service and Health and Human Services.
Over the last four decades, the Chapter’s notable accomplishments include the awarding of college scholarships, sustained support for Project LEAD: High Expectations-Responding to the Drug Epidemic activities, voter education, initiatives addressing women’s health, the Arts, mentoring programs for at-risk students and collaborative efforts with local agencies to deliver educational resources.
International initiatives include financial support and other resources to the Jamaican, Haitian and Liberian populations.
